So I know everyone has been super curious as to what I've been up to lately ;) so I figured it was about time to update this sucker!
So much has happened since I last put up a post, I'm not even sure where to begin...
I finished my first semester at SLCC. I'm going to toot my own horn for a minute because I'm pretty proud of myself. I never really felt "smart enough" to be in college and pull off good grades. I know this was due to my lack of effort. This second time around I have LOVED being in school. I worked hard, studied, went to all of my classes and....I got a 100% on my FINAL and an A++ in the class!!! This summer I am finishing an online class and taking a math test...hopefully I'll pass it so that I don't have to take math again. I don't think all the effort in the world would help me pass that class!! I'll be starting up normal classes again in the fall.
I started my new position at work!! I LOVE it! Its just a great feeling to have to work to do and feel like you are getting something accomplished. My position before was very unfulfilling for me. Now there is always something to do, its great! Not to mention I have amazing co-workers in my department. They definitely make coming to work even more enjoyable.
I have also started working a part-time job. On the weekends you can find me at The Kid Barn! It is a really fun daycare. It is a warehouse FULL of inflatable bouncers! We have everything from giant slides to obstacle courses to bouncing castles! We also do birthday parties. I love little kids and its so fun to just run around with them and play...and get paid for it!
Lets see...what else...
I got to talk to my brother on Mother's Day! He is in Peru, serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Its crazy to think that he has been there almost a year! He left last July. He has told me some of the best stories. I am so proud of him! Next summer my family is planning a trip to Peru to go sightseeing when he is released. I can not wait!!
It FINALLY feels likes summer!! After the longest winter in history...it finally reached 90 degrees!! I was in the best mood all weekend because of it. My favorite thing is to be able to drive in my car with the music blasting and all my windows and sun roof open. Not much gets better than that! Me and Jake have a lot planned for the summer so we are so glad that its finally warming up and we get put our plans into action!
Also, I just finished a really amazing book...The Last Lecture. I feel amazingly blessed after reading it and recommend it to everyone! If you hate reading, then listen to the lecture by Randy Pausch.
Its a great reminder about how short and precious life is....live it to the fullest.

Great to hear an update. Awesome job on school! Yeah my favorite thing is to listen to music while driving too. It's such a nice time right now to do it. Too bad the gas is so expensive.
Congrats on the good grades! That always helps the self esteem. What mission is your brother serving in Peru? Robert served in the Lima South mission. I so glad you're doing SO great!!! : )
