Stitches....

I have pretty much been slacking big time on this blog but this month has been CrAzY busy... so I'll be catching up here soon!!

Until then....

Me and Jake went down to Lake Powell about two weeks ago with his family. We got to stay on an amazing house boat and had such a great time! The night before we left I was home packing and got a call from Jake....he was in the urgent care waiting room. He managed to slice up his finger pretty good at work and ended up with 4 stitches! We had a bet to see how many he would need....he guessed 5 and I was right on with 4! Jake was convinced he really did need one more but the doctor stitching him up was flirting with me and wanted me to win so he stitched him up one short...Since I'm basically a medical student I think I'm just really smart ;)

(I also had to tell the doctors that Jake needed a tetnus shot, so needless to say he wasn't too happy with me for a little while.)

Lucky the doctors said he would be ok wake boarding and getting in the water. Which he did and was amazing at! I am a big scardy cat when it comes to attempting those things BUT....for the first time in my life I tried wake boarding!! Jake's parents took me out super early one morning when the water was perfect and Jake, being the sweetheart that he is stayed on the houseboat so he wouldn't make me too nervous. He makes it look so much easier than it really is! I bit it pretty good a couple of times but after that it was a blast and it felt so good to overcome my fear.

Two more weeks and we'll be off to Vegas! Until the next time...you can enjoy these lovely pics of Jake's poor finger

yes....that is finger fat...not blood. Who knew fingers had so much fat?

Getting it all cleaned up! Any one who knows Jake would know that this is NOT an easy task after he gets off work!
