{Give Thanks}

I hope everyone had a wonderful day...Mine was seriously the best. My dad's team always has a big thanksgiving lunch for all the players and their families. This year Miss Kim cooked for everyone and it was amazing!! Oh I miss southern cooking!

Waiting for my dad before we ate...they had all the Eagle mascots dressed up :)

So my dad has ALWAYS had a mustache....seriously, always....I walked in the house when I got here and didn't even recognize him!! I'm still trying to get used to it....

After we ate way too much at lunch me and Hailee headed over to the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. She was amazing! I gave up after a couple swings of not so stellar hitting. She is trying out for her high school golf team next week...good luck Hailee!

We met up with the rest of the family to go see Four Christmases....we were even able to talk my dad into going with isn't the easiest thing to do. But he was laughing the WHOLE time so I know he enjoyed it just as much as we did. I thought it was so funny!
Later we had Coach Duggin and his family over for Thanksgiving dinner. They just moved down to Mississippi and don't have other family around either. The food was great and we all ate WAY too much....

Here are me and my sisters trying to shove some desert into our mouths....

Happy Thanksgiving!

M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

I FINALLY made it! It only took four different states and three separate plane rides but I am in good old Mississippi. It is sooo nice to finally see my family. It has been waaayy too long. I got in Monday night after a full day of traveling and was greeted by my sisters and mom. The airport in Hattisburg is so small that they were able to be right there when I walked off of my teeny tiny plane. We have done a whole lot of relaxing and it has been AMAZING! Tons of movies, games and good food!! This week is going by way too fast....

Here we are at my mom's favorite place in Hattisburg.......Nuke's!

And of course we had to go see TWILIGHT!!!!!

We leave tomorrow for Texas for my dad's game and to visit more family. I can't wait to go to one of my dad's games! I never get to go anymore and I miss all the excitement!

Happy Birthday Jake!

Well...early birthday! Jake turns the big 2-5 next week but we will both be out of town (lucky duck is going to California) and I had the night off, so I took him out to dinner to celebrate. We had such a good time. The food was amazing and our waitress was hilarious. We sat there for probably 2 hours just talking and laughing. Our waitress ended up joining us at the end for some chit chat and to take some pictures for us. I tried to get them to sing to Jake but he threatened to get up and walk out if they did so I let it go.

The lighting was kind of funky there so after a couple of tries this is the the best we could do...

Jake had had enough of the picture taking by the time I got around to snapping this one. I laughed so hard when I saw it. He looks completely frustrated! {Don't worry about the food he's trying to eat in peace or that his hand looks ginormous}

I just want to wish Jake the happiest birthday ever! It probably won't be quite as good as if I was there to celebrate but I think Disney Land and the beach will do a pretty good job of making it great :)

Blessed....

I'm not quite sure where to start with this post. The last week has been a complete emotional roller coaster ride. A week ago today the company I have been working for for the past year and a half had layoffs again. I didn't get so lucky this time and was informed that my time at ITS had come to an end due to seniority with in the company. I was completely devastated. I loved the company and everyone I worked with. I have met some amazing people through this job and couldn't imagine starting over somewhere else. I believe everything happens for a reason and knew this was no exception. I booked a plane ticket to go home and see my family as soon as I realized I suddenly had all this free time on my hands! I haven't been able to see them for over a year and can't wait for Thanksgiving!

So after a week of job hunting, setting up interview, supportive phone calls from people I've met along the way I got an amazing phone call yesterday morning...the owner of ITS was calling to ask me if I would like to rejoin the company and take my job back! Due to unforeseen circumstances they had a strong need for me to come back..with job security this time! I had a very strong feeling that it is where I am supposed to be at this time in my life. I could not be more thankful for this minor trial. It has given me the opportunity to go home and see my family for a whole week!! I wouldn't have the chance to go home had this not happened. Plus I got a couple days to sleep in. I can't complain...

Thanks to everyone who has been so kind during this hard week and all of your words of encouragement. I love you all :)
