Let me just say...I love love LOVE three day weekends!! It was so nice to hang out and RELAX! I've been slacking big time on the blogging thing so I'll do a little re-cap of what's been going on lately...
I started school! Of course I am stuck with a teacher that does not believe in doing written assignments so every thing is an oral project in front of the class...throw in some debates and its my biggest nightmare. For starters I am the WORST debater there is...We had our first debate last week and luckily I wasn't the only one who sucks at it! I have three major projects due next week so they are definitely keeping me busy.
Here is a picture of me and Alyssa on our first day of school...(I had the flu that week so its not my most flattering picture)
Last weekend one of my very best friends had her wedding reception. It was at this really great venue called Cactus and Tropicals with exotic plants and fountains everywhere! She looked amazing!! She got married in December down in Oklahoma. It was so nice to see her and her new hubby! She's going to school up in Logan so we don't get to see each other very often. For those of you who don't know...me and Stephanie go all the way back to my Wisconsin days.
I'm still training for the marathon in April. Here's a pic of me and Alyssa before we started our run...
This weekend was great. Jake and I hit up a comedy club on Friday and had a blast! Neither of us had ever been to one before and I must say, I was impressed. A couple of the guys were HILARIOUS!
Saturday was spent working on one of my big class projects. We have to make a poster board of our life....which means I get to do crafts! Me and Alyssa hit up one of my favorite stores...Michaels! I could spend ALL day in that store. Alyssa had a hard time dragging my butt out.
Sunday my grandparents where in town from St. George. Its always exciting when they come up because they take me out to eat which I don't get to do very often. After lunch we went over to my cousin's house who just had a gorgeous baby girl. I love babies this age! Congrats Lindsay!
The rest of the weekend I spent on the couch curled up in a blanket with Jake watching movies. It snowed at least a foot at my house so I did everything to avoid going out in the snow!
Anyways, I hope everyone had a great weekend and in honor of MLK I thought I'd leave a quote by him...
"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."
